Antique English Silverplate & Ceramic Floral Condiment Stand

This gleaming antique condiment stand reflects the lush aesthetic of the Victorian era. Named after England’s Queen Victoria, the Victorian era’s lavish designs were known for their opulent flourishes – and this glorious set is no exception.

Rich in details, this antique silverplated caddy is a rare example of the gorgeous craftsmanship that was employed during that period. Standing on four ball feet, a beautifully decorated ceramic tile forms the base of the stand and is set within a bead detailed silverplated frame. The ceramic tile base is embellished with lush transferware florals adding color and dimension while also providing an easy care surface for the condiment cruets to stand. Silverplated posts at each corner of the base are topped with ball finials and support rails that neatly hold the quartet of cruets and casters in style. The tall central post with ring becomes a practical handle to bring the set from kitchen to table with ease.

The gleaming set includes two sparkling cut crystal cruets with stoppers, a caster with a shining silverplated top, and a pretty crystal pot intended for mustard (either dry or prepared) with a silverplated lid notched to accommodate a spoon.
